International Conference and Workshop on Community-Led Approaches and Innovations for Better Care Systems, and Community Resilience toward an Inclusive Silver Economy

On 6 May 2026, the ASEAN Training Centre for Social Work and Social Welfare (ATCSW) participated in the International Conference and Workshop on Community-Led Approaches and Innovations for Better Care Systems, and Community Resilience toward an Inclusive Silver Economy.

The conference was jointly hosted by the Department of Older Persons, College of Population Studies, Chulalongkorn University, Thai Health Promotion Foundation, and Ageing Innovation Expo Thailand, in collaboration with leading international and regional organisations including United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), Asian Development Bank, Alliance on Longevity in Asia Pacific (ALAP), and ASEAN Centre for Active Ageing and Innovation (ACAI).

ATCSW was also honoured to have Dr. Nalinee Nakittipha Chuakhamfoo, Lecturer, Faculty of Social Administration, Thammasat University, joining the panel discussion on “Social Care Workforce, Standards, and Safeguarding in Community Settings” on behalf of ATCSW. Dr. Nalinee highlighted the importance of strengthening the social work and care workforce, emphasizing that social care is equally essential alongside health care in building inclusive and resilient communities, particularly for older persons and vulnerable populations.
