ASEAN Training Center for Social Work and Social Welfare (ATCSW) in collaboration with the Foreign Affairs Division Office of the Permanent Secretary for Social Development and Human Security, held a meeting of the Governing Board of ATCSW
On January 26, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., at the meeting room on 7th floor, C. P. TOWER Building 3, Mr. Anothai Udomsilp, the secretary of the Board, welcomed Mrs. Pham Thi Hai Ha, the Chair of the ASEAN Social Work Network Cooperation Network, Madam Duc, the chairperson of the meeting and Governing Board committee from 10 ASEAN member countries through Zoom application. Mr. Anothai also reported on the progress of ATCSW and discussed curricula designing.
The meeting suggested setting guidelines for the centre development. In doing this, the centre can efficiently undertake working operations and organize courses
that will promote social work. This first meeting is a very crucial time to determine the direction of the center’s operation, with the hope that social
work will gain more recognition and be considered more significantly.
